The SHRDC Governing Board comprises of 11 members, one eminent expert nominated by each Member State, representative of the SAARC Secretary General, a representative form the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Government of Pakistan and the Director of the Centre. The Director of the Centre also acts as Member Secretary of the Governing Board. The Board meets once in a year and recommends the annual programme of activities and budget of the Centre. The programme of activities recommended by the Governing Board is further reviewed by the SAARC Programming Committee and subsequently approved by the Standing Committee. The Council of the Ministers gives concurrence to the decision reached by the Standing Committee prior to the convening of the SAARC Summit.
